Patriots Work out Several Players
September 8, 2007The Patriots worked out several free agents today at Gillette Stadium. Among those were former Patriots Tim Dwight and Bobby Hamilton. Interestingly, both of these players were on the Jets just last week. Maybe Bill Belichick was getting back at Mangini for hosting Caldwell, maybe?
I don’t think the Patriots will sign Dwight, because we honestly don’t need another receiver / returner (because if we did, why would we release Reche Caldwell?). However, I think signing Bobby Hamilton will be a strong possibility. With Seymour out, it would be good to get a starting talent defensive end to provide some depth behind Jarvis Green and Ty Warren.
