Refreshed look with refreshed season

September 5, 2007

I tried giving the site a new look before the season started.  I like this one more because it maximizes the side bar, making it a lot easier to access the site.  I also think it seems more professional, and clean.  Tell me what you think!

I  also want to encourage people to use the forum.  It takes only about 30 seconds to sign up.  I want to try my best to create a Patriots blogging community, not just a simple blog.

Lastly, I am still interested in more writers for the site.  Andrew and I have been working alone, and when the season starts, things are going to really pick up.  If you want to write general articles, you may.  There is no restriction to what you can write, and no demands on how much you write.  You could write once a month for all I care.  Above all, I could really use someone who would be willing to find daily links about the Patriots.  I’ve tried doing it, but I never seem to finish while I am writing other articles.  If you are interested in writing for Patriotsblog.net, email me at thebusnamedgak@aol.com .  I would like to see a brief tryout article, then I can sign you up within five minutes.  I may also be able to get you an email account like yourname@patriotsblog.net, but I’m still working to try and set that up.

Wednesday Notes: Reche visits Jets, Injury Report, and More

September 5, 2007

Not the busiest of days, after an ultra quiet Tuesday.  The big news is probably Reche Caldwell visiting with the Jets, according to ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli.  Because of this, there has been rumor that the Jets are looking at him to get info about the Patriots offense for Sunday’s game.  But according to Mike Vrabel, that isn’t going to happen:

“Reche barely knew our offense, so I know he doesn’t know our defense [tongue in cheek; media laughter]. That’s the end of that question.”

You gotta love that quote.  So I guess Reche isn’t just wide eyed, he is stupid AND a traitor.  Although he is just looking for a job, so you can’t throw too much blame on the guy.

The Patriots injury report also came out today, but it wasn’t your traditional injury report.  The traditional one (probable, questionable, doubtful, and out), will only be used on Fridays and Saturdays.  The new report goes, limited participation, full participation, and out.  For the Patriots, Rashad Baker, David Thomas, and Mike Wright were in the limited category, while Tom Brady was in the full participation category.  Randy Moss was not on the report, which means he will likely be playing.
